Micellar water is a new buzzword you've probably seen mainly in skincare, but it's an amazing ingredient for natural hair cleansing. Take a look at the power of your DevaCurl Buildup Buster. Micellar water is a combination of purified water, along with very mild surfactants (at low concentrations), and moisturizing ingredients like glycerin. “Micelles” are formed by the molecules of the mild surfactants that attract dirt and oil like a magnet. When micellar water is added to a product, it boosts the cleansing power without stripping or irritating the skin/hair. DevaCurl Buildup Buster Micellar Water Cleansing Serum is perfect for congested scalps and strands that need a little extra help removing heavy product. HOW TO USE: Is it shampoo? Yes, your Buildup Buster takes the place of your regular shampoo. If you use Wash Day Wonder, Buildup Buster should be applied while it’s still in your hair. Apply the serum directly to your scalp and wash. Rinse both products out of your hair at the same time. If you don’t use Wash Day Wonder, you can use Buildup Buster like your normal shampoo. However, we do recommend using Wash Day Wonder for 4c textures that need extra softening at the bowl. What else is in it? You’ll also find abyssinian and jojoba oils. Abyssinian oil a natural seed oil incredibly high in fatty acids. Being that it’s a lipid seed oil, it’s very easily absorbed into the hair and the epidermal tissue, making a marked difference in smoothness and texture. Its major function in the shampoo is to help add moisture to the formula. Have you tried Buildup Buster?
