How to Encourage Growth While Washing Your TWA

Here are three cool ways to encourage growth while shampooing your TWA.

INCORPORATE A SHAMPOO BRUSH: Shampoo brushes helps exfoliate and stimulate your scalp, which, in turn, encourages growth. You can use a small, round shampoo brush that slides right onto your hand or a Denman brush. While shampooing, finger part small areas and gently massage in a circular motion.

ADD FIVE DROPS OF PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL: Adding a tingling sensation to shampoo helps encourage growth by also stimulating the scalp. This works especially well if you have dandruff or inflammation because peppermint cools the scalp. Some great combinations are peppermint and tea tree, peppermint and lemongrass and peppermint and rosemary.

ADD IN A DOLLOP OF PROTEIN: Take every opportunity you can to strengthen your hair by adding almond or peanut oil to your shampoo. These oils are packed with protein and assist in revitalizing dry, brittle strands (and split ends), which negate length retention. We like to keep ours in the shower and simply pour in a capful.
