Try these four tips to boosting the cleansing power of your
Africa's Best Coconut Creme Sulfate-Free shampoo.
1. INCORPORATE A SHAMPOO BRUSH: Shampoo brushes helps exfoliate and stimulate your scalp, which, in turn, encourages growth. You can use a small, round shampoo brush that slides right onto your hand or a Denman brush. While shampooing, finger part small areas and gently massage in a circular motion.
2. ADD FIVE DROPS OF PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL: Adding a tingling sensation to shampoo helps encourage growth by also stimulating the scalp. This works especially well if you have dandruff or inflammation because peppermint cools the scalp. Some great combinations are peppermint and tea tree, peppermint and lemongrass and peppermint and rosemary.
3. USE A NOZZLE TIP: Transfer your shampoo to a bottle with a nozzle tip for direct scalp application. We usually tend to waste shampoo by liberally applying it to strands. Remember, shampoo is for the scalp. Do a pre-soak to help dissolve product build-up and dirt by applying a mixture of coconut oil and conditioner to your unwashed, dry strands. Rinse well and shampoo.
4. ADD BAKING SODA: If your hair is color-treated DON'T try this, as it'll make the color bleed. If its not, add in a tablespoon of baking soda to your first wash to truly dissolve any and all product, dirt or build-up.
