Creating a Vitamin C toner is easier than you think.
Typically, Vitamin C serums and toners are expensive, due to the process of harvesting and maintaining the freshest Vitamin C. With an at-home toner, you can create as much as you want, when you want. Here’s what you’ll need:
– Vitamin C powder
– Green tea
– Distilled water
Boil a cup of water and steep 1 – 2 bags of green tea for 3 – 4 minutes. Put this cup in the fridge until it cools down, as hot water will ruin Vitamin C. It’s very fickle and oxidizes at a ridiculously fast rate. Any little thing might compromise it, which is why the in-store preparations are so expensive.
Take your cool tea and add one teaspoon of Vitamin C powder and stir until completely dissolved. The benefits are amazing. It helps with blemishes, brightening skin and is a powerful antioxidant to use in the winter.
You can keep your toner for exactly one week before making another batch. Store it in a small glass container in a cool, dark space.
