Summer’s almost here. Is your skin ready? Mind these tips. HYDRATING YOUR SKIN THROUGH YOUR DIET - Omega-3 fatty acids limit water loss in skin cells. Add in wild salmon oil supplements for quick results. - Add aloe vera juice and/or pulp to your smoothies to increase skin hydration and hair strength. - Add more water-rich foods to your diet like cucumbers, berries, watermelon and celery. - Add antioxidant power to your water by using herbs and citrus. Try a combo of rosemary and lemon. Sugar dehydrates the skin, so one way to avoid losing hydration is to lay off the sweets. GET RID OF UNDER EYE CIRCLES One cheap way to rid of dark bags is to create a DIY serum with vitamin E, apricot oil and two drops of lemon essential oil. Use a 3oz travel-sized bottle and mix equal parts vit. E and apricot oil, along with two drops of lemon essential oil. Shake well and apply to eyes in the morning and night. HOW TO GET A FLAWLESS BACK Your back will likely be out all summer long, so make sure to use (on a daily basis) a natural bristle back brush to exfoliate scars and keep “bacne" in check. Make sure the bristles of your brush aren’t too rough because you’ll scratch your skin. Use a bacteria-killing soap like Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Pure Castile Soap, or Rose Pure Castile Soap for sensitive types.
