There are four standout ingredients in your SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil collection, so we've created a quick glossary for these hair gems.

BAOBAB OIL: This oil is extracted from the seeds of the baobab tree fruit, which is native to Africa. It’s touted as a superfood because the fruit contains more antioxidants than any other fruit on earth. It contains many nutrients, including omega 3,6,9, along with vitamins A, D, E and K. Hairwise, it’s mainly infused into products to help rescue dry, dull strands in need of repair and hydration. Baobab also heals an irritated, inflamed scalp.

MANUKA HONEY: Manuka honey contains incredible anti-bacterial properties that make it an incredible face mask for acne and effective to use for dandruff relief. Honey, itself, has amazing softening properties for course strands. It instantly makes any formula its added to more moisturizing.

MAFURA OIL: Mafura oil is also known as natal mahogany oil from the mafura tree. It’s widely used to moisturize the skin and hair, and is known to heal wounds. It’s high in fatty acids like palmitic, stearic and linoleic.

FIG EXTRACT: Not only are figs a sweet treat, they’re rich in antioxidants. Fig extract is typically added to products because of it’s ability to give you weightless hair. It also increases scalp circulation and gives the hair a vitamin boost in the form of magnesium, calcium and vitamins C & E.
