Is your wash day regimen waaaaaay too long? Here are a few easy conditioning and styling tips to help you get some time back.
1. DO A PRE-DETANGLER: Conditioning and detangling can often eat up most of your time because your shampoo session can occasionally throw off your moisture levels. Before shampooing, apply a dollop of conditioner to dry strands. Massage it in and let it sit for ten minutes. Wet your hair and immediately apply shampoo and begin to wash. The mixture of your conditioner and shampoo will more easily rinse product build-up and dirt.
2. CONDITION FOR LESS TIME: Crazy, we know. The thought of conditioning for less than 4,732 hours seems like a waste of time, but if you do a pre-detangling session, you can comfortably let your conditioner sit for 15 minutes and still get the benefits. Also, after pre-detangling, your hair will be much easier to detangle during your normal conditioning session. To get an even deeper, quicker condition, sit under a hood dryer during that time.
3. USE A DRY-STYLE METHOD: Apply a little leave-in to freshly-rinsed hair and blow your curls 50% dry. Follow up with an application of your Curly Chic Your Curls Defined Curling Creme and two-strand twist your hair. Set your twists under a hooded dryer to finish. By semi-drying your hair for 5 - 7 minutes, you’ll cut your overall drying time in half, and you’ll find that you have a lot less shrinkage in your twists.
