Up your skin game with these three products and tools you should consider adding in this summer.
SQUALANE OIL: If you absolutely love using oils in your regimen but they make you look like an oil slick, or you have a slight sensitivity, squalane is for you. This oilless oil (yes, it’s an oil-free oil) is derived from mainly sugarcane or olives, and works like an emollient serum. It helps repair your skin barrier, fights bacteria and smoothes rough skin textures. We love this brand.
VIBRATING FACIAL MASSAGER: You’ve probably spotted Tracee Ellis Ross flossing her 24 karat gold facial massager on Instagram. She’s a virtual vampire and it’s within good reason that we should all follow suit and snag a similar one. Facial massagers help enhance your circulation, tackle wrinkles by tightening the skin and stimulate the production of collagen. We like using a massaging wand to cleanse (this one is perfect for that), as well as to massage in your moisturizer for better absorption.
TRADER JOE’S TEA TREE CLEANSER: This is a cheapie fav. Meagan Good uses it and she’s been flawless for DECADES. Its formula is pretty clean, combining a simple mixture of castile soap with a slew of medicinal essential oils like tea tree, chamomile, lavender, goldenseal and bladderwrack (seaweed). If you’re highly sensitive, you may want to skip this one. But if you tend to get clogged pores amidst the hot, humid summers, this may work perfectly for you. Heads up - buy it in the store, it's only $6.
