Do you plan on living at the beach for the rest of the summer? Do you have these three cheap must-haves? Take a look.
1.
EXFOLIATING BACK TOWEL : Your back will likely be out all summer long, so make sure to use (on a daily basis) a natural bristle back brush or a
cheapie back towel to exfoliate scars and keep bacne in check. Use a bacteria-killing soap like Dr. Bronner’s Tea Tree Pure Castile Soap, or Rose Pure Castile Soap for sensitive types. If you're looking for a boost of lauric acid, which actually helps with bacne, look no further than a sensitive skin bar of Dove. Afterwards, spray on a mixture of almond oil and lemongrass while your back is still wet to seal in moisture and help fade scars. Pat dry with your bath towel.
2.
NATURAL BUG REPELLENT: Keep your DIY bug repellent oils nearby. Carrier oils like almond, grapeseed and coconut mixed with peppermint, citronella, clove, lemongrass, rosemary, tea tree, cajeput, eucalyptus, cedar, lavender and mint repel insects. We personally love a peppermint and lemongrass combo.
3.
STOCK UP ON VIT. C: If you practically live poolside and beachside, ensure you have a good dosage of Vit. C stocked in your closet to prevent heat rashes and burns. Vitamin C naturally encourages the body to release the sweat that builds in these areas that causes irritation. Take 500mg before and after sunbathing for best results.
What's in your beach bag?
