Here are three easy ways to get healthier curls in a month.

1. GET A SHOWER/SINK FILTER: Many of us wash our curls in the sink or shower, and if you have hard water that’s chock full of hardening minerals, you could be making your hair brittle and dry. Always wash your hair with filtered water if you live in an area with hard water.

2. OPT FOR STEAM OVER HOODED-DRYER CONDITIONING: There’s nothing wrong with popping on a shower cap and sitting under the dryer to let your deep treatment penetrate the hair shaft, however, for products mainly comprised of natural, botanical ingredients. A steamer helps enhance the hydrating effects and you’ll infuse more of the nutrients into your hair shaft.

3. TAKE A GOOD DOSE OF OMEGA 3,6,9 & B-VITAMINS: Don’t neglect your fish oil (in the form of wild salmon), evening primrose (omega 6,9). They help keep your body hydrated and prevent hair loss.
