Here’s how to add a few Christmas favorites to your hair regimen.

1. PRE-SHAMPOO CINNAMON TREATMENT: Add 10 drops of cinnamon oil to 3 oz of olive oil to create a pre-shampoo treatment that helps heal scalp infections and promote hair growth. Apply to scalp and hair and leave on for 30 minutes before shampooing.

2. USE A GINGER ELIXER FOR THINNING EDGES: Take 2 tablespoons of grated ginger and combine it with 3 tablespoons of sesame oil. Apply directly to your edges and let it sit for 30 minutes. It WILL tingle and that’s okay. Rinse thoroughly.

3. PEPPERMINT HAIR REFRESHER: Purchase a bottle of rosewater and add 15 – 20 drops of peppermint oil. Use this spray as a hair refresher after your workout, or when your curls have come in contact with smoke or a smelly environment.
