We caught up with singer Tamia to discuss all things beauty. The songstress recently dropped a new album Love Life, and gave us the deets on her hair, skin and those enviable legs. Dig in to part one.
What’s your facial regimen and your skin type? Any tips?
Tamia: I have sensitive skin. I have a lot of allergies to perfumes and things like that, so I like to keep it simple. I love the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes to wipe off my makeup, then I use a regular cleanser. I also love sugar/honey scrubs and a natural moisturizer. Oh! And I’m currently into face oils, like coconut.
How do you maintain your skin while traveling on tour?
Tamia: I always keep travel sizes of everything I use, skin-wise. I never like to leave without that. I don’t like to change up my routine while I’m on the road.
What’s you fav thing to use on your super dry skin?
Tamia: When traveling between climates – because I have dry skin – sometimes I use something really thick like Aquaphor. I also really do LOVE coconut oil for everything. I actually put a little in my coffee. It gives it a little hazelnut flavor.
What’s your favorite product to use on your curls?
Tamia: Being a mom and having two girls, hair is a big deal in our house. I need to have products that work on all three of us. I’m loving the Mizani 25 Miracle Milk right now. It works on all of us. I spray that on and I can comb through everyone’s hair!
What do you use to moisturize your curls?
Tamia: I love argan oil and moroccan oil.
We need to discuss your killer legs. What do you do to keep them so toned?
Tamia: I play a lot tennis, so that’s a lot of running. Of course, I do the treadmill but I’m not a girl who can be on the treadmill too long, but I can do 8 – 10 minutes of sprints. My legs get built up really quickly. Of course, I also do a lot of lunges, squats and running.
Stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!
