I was born and raised in Los Angeles and I honestly had no idea what Spring & Fall were until I moved out of California. It was either hot or not so hot or a little cold but I had no idea what the actual seasons were. Now that I live in Georgia, I look forward to the seasons changing and Fall is probably my favorite season! So without further ado, this is what I’m into this Fall.
Now that it’s a little chilly out, I inevitably spend more time caring for my hair. I guess I use the “cuddle” season to get closer to my tresses. I usually take one of my favorite conditioners or any new one that I’m dying to try and mix it with a little coconut oil and steam. It always feels so good! It comes with its own built in time so I don’t even have to watch the time. I usually sit under it with a book or magazine until I hear the beep and it stops!
I know you’ve heard the song “It Never Rains In Southern California” … I wouldn’t say never but it really doesn’t rain much. So I never really had a chance to rock rain boots like I do now. I bought a pair of Hunter boots for the season and they’re so cute and COMFY! Every time I wear them, I’m complimented.
3. Deep Lips!
The Kat Von D lipstick in “Homegirl” is that perfect deep dark and oh so sultry lip! Lala has been killing the deep lip lately and I’m all on her bumper trying to recreate the look!
So check out the excerpt:
Eleven Minutes is the story of Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that “love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer. . . .” A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune. Maria’s despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness — sexual pleasure for its own sake — or risking everything to find her own “inner light” and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love.
I’ve already read it but it’s time for me to revisit! I love anything by Coelho and I remember this being one of my favorite books. I rarely reread books but I love to revisit love stories as Fall begins!
5. Pink Lady Apples
I typically only love Summer fruit (peaches, mangoes, etc) but it’s now time for apples and I just LOVE pink ladies with a bit of peanut butter.
So that’s what I’m looking forward to. How about you?
